My brother uploaded a bunch of pictures to Facebookthe other night and how convenient that itincluded a picture of the 1977 Lincoln Town Carmentioned in this blog.

I did not escape childhood, or even young adulthood for that matter, unscathed. At least I remain true to form and neglect my blog consistently.  That said, for the sake of a blog post attributable to insomnia, here is a list of things I want for Christmas - in no particular order.

I haven't cried this much over baseball since Bobby Cox retired last year as manager of my beloved Atlanta Braves.  You see, the King's Houston Disastros are cause enough for me to cry because ever since we moved from Georgia to Texas six years ago, his games are on ALL of our TVs ALL the time.

In trying to do our part for Mother Earth and to save money, we reuse our plastic water bottles. I run hot water through them and scrub the cap area and then we refill with water from our Brita water filter. It's worked out nicely. 

Lately though we've tinkered with the idea of switching over to a water dispenser since we don't have one of those fancy gadgets on our refrigerator. It wasn't until Saturday night that my body decided sleep wasn't such a bad idea. In fact, according to the King, I fell asleep about the time my body hit the bed. I woke up a few times here and there but the best part about this sleep is that I stayed in bed until about 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon.

She was the worst cat on the planet. She was my best friend. Shortly after 8 o'clock this morning, Inge went to kitty heaven after 13 years and 8 months of bringing feline frenzy into my life and after a brave batttle with cancer. She didn't want to leave. There was more food to eat. At least now she gets all the tuna and butter she could ever imagine.
